For the upcoming May 1 election, this Democrat is supporting Republican candidate Harry Watson for mayor of the City of Groton. I have known Harry for 30 years and watched him tirelessly give back to our community as a volunteer. He has a nonpartisan approach to local government that is refreshing.

Harry and I recently had breakfast together where he shared his vision of how to lead the City of Groton through the next two years. He seems to have a grasp on how important it is to be more aggressive on economic development and to be more business friendly. Thames Street's potential was at the top of his priorities. He realizes we need to grow the tax base to offset our taxes. Please join me supporting him.
