The Johnny Come Lightlies in concert in Norwich
Fiddler virtuoso Damon Leibert returns to Norwich with his Irish roots-rock group The Johnny Come Lightlies for a Friday concert.
Leibert is a graduate of Norwich Free Academy and Connecticut College. Now living in Massachusetts, he co-founded the Johnny Come Latelies. (The group’s acoustic version is called the Johnny Come Lightlies, which is what Norwich audiences will hear.)
More recently, Leibert joined the national Irish Comedy Tour. In his non-performance life, he’s director of the Davis Square Theatre in Somerville, Mass., and he owns and runs Bluetone Recording Studio.
Joining Leibert in the Johnny Come Lightlies are co-founder Robert Elliott on guitar and vocals and Chris Murphy on bodhran and percussion.
