Motion Radio celebrates debut CD

Motion Radio plays Saturday at Norwich's Strange Brew Pub.

It's a good thing that Motion Radio is headlining a release party for their debut EP on Saturday in Norwich's Strange Brew Pub.

The band, which includes guitarist/vocalist Matt Hamilton, bassist/vocalist A.J. Longo, drummer Brian Briggs and vocalist Sara Rhea, offers up a fine post-millennial stew of clever and witty rock.

Titled "EP One," the recording contains five tunes - many of which were heard a few weeks back when Motion Radio performed to a large crowd on The Day's "Live Lunch Break" concert series.

Opening the show is iZm, an Uncasville hard rock band whose motto - "Making noise anywhere beer is served" - is decidedly impressive.
