Mashantucket — Foxwoods Resort Casino reported that it kept $44.5 million in slot-machine winnings last month, a slight increase over the $44.3 million it kept in July 2014.

Mohegan Sun's July slots "win" totaled $51.6 million, a 1.9 percent decline over the $52.6 million it kept the same month last year.

It was the second straight monthly gain for Foxwoods, while Mohegan Sun's decline broke a string of three straight monthly increases.

Foxwoods’ July “handle,” the total amount of slots wagers, was up 4 percent at $553.3 million. Mohegan Sun's $632.3 million handle was down 2.2 percent.
