Dan Garofalo pitched six strong innings as the Avery Point baseball team beat the Ontario Nationals 11-0 on Tuesday at Vero Beach, Fla.

Garofalo (1-1) allowed three hits with seven strikeouts and three walks.

Mike Corso, Vinny Pallisco and Tom Caravetta had two hits each and each scored twice for the Pointers (3-2). Caravetta drove in three runs and Pallisco had two RBI for Avery Point, which also played the Ontario Blue Jays in a late game on Tuesday.
