Local Authors’ Festival to benefit Groton Public Library

It’s hard to imagine any authors not profoundly influenced by and indebted to a library or two — or a few dozen.

In that spirit, several local writers will participate in the first Local Authors’ Festival Saturday in the Groton Public Library. The event is geared for all ages and features writers in all genres and styles — all of whom have recently published books available for sale and signing. What’s cool is that the authors are donating their time and resources to help out “Looking Forward, Giving Back,” a fund that supports the local history renovation project at the library.

Some of the participating scribes are Susan Kietzman, Janet Barret, Nick Checker, Ruth Crocker, Todd Gipstein, Matthew Goldman, Karen Guzman, George Jackson, Kathleen O’Beirne, James Streeter, and Leslie Woods. Light refreshments and activities will be part of the fun.
