Sure, this popular annual event at Mystic Seaport is dubbed Chowder Days, but the menu tells the real story: it isn't — and you don't have to be — restricted to chowder.

That's not to say there aren't delectable examples of the titular dish to be found at this weekend's event: try the Bahamian conch chowder or the quahog chili chowder or the vegetarian butternut squash bisque, among the many offerings.

But you can also nibble on BBQ pulled pork or fish tacos or bratwurst and sauerkraut or cheese fries.

While you devour whichever meal strikes your fancy, you can listen to music, which is scheduled to include Hart Strings Duo on Saturday, Andy & Bethany on Sunday, and Junkyard Heartstrings on Monday, all 1-4 p.m.
