New London's Nathan Hale Arts Magnet School will host an Open House Showcase from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The event will acquaint prospective students and their parents to the curriculum and philosophies of the school, which serves K-5 students residing in Connecticut by infusing the New London Public Schools' curriculum with an emphasis and incorporation of arts into other areas of study. New school Principal Carlos Leaf will be introduced, and tours, children's activities, refreshments and live music are all part of the presentation. Applications for enrollment will be accepted, and there will be a raffle to win passes to the Garde Arts Center. Nathan Hale Arts Magnet is located at 37 Beech Drive.
