Take it from me: mediocrity can wear you down. This becomes even more exhausting when you realize several people who have the same name as you are way cooler than you are. (Thanks a lot, classical musician Rick Koster, race car driver Rick Koster and, apparently, Dutch inspirational speaker Rick Koster!)

It's a little different for John Henson. For one thing, he's not "mediocre." He's actually a very funny comedian and fairly well known from over 20 years on television. He was star of "The John Henson Project" on Spike TV and the longtime host of "Talk Soup" on the E! network.

It's not his fault, then, that a guy named John Henson plays in the NBA for the Milwaukee Bucks and shows up a LOT when you Google the name.

Let it be said, though, that comic Henson, with his "conservative dad" appearance and material that focuses on family and relationships, can totally surprise — in hilarious fashion — with his dark and profane remarks. See him perform Saturday at Comix at Mohegan Sun.
