Norwich's Chelsea Players presents "Women in Jeopardy"

The Norwich-based Chelsea Players theater group wants to ask: Can three single mothers find love and happiness? And can they do it without falling prey to a serial killer? They’ll be answering those questions and more in their newest production,“Women in Jeopardy.”

Part comedy, part murder mystery, “Women in Jeopardy” will bring viewers into the outrageous and hilarious world of modern-day Salt Lake City as Mary and Jo, two divorced women with children, are fretting over the seemingly psychopathic serial killer their third friend, Liz (also a divorced mother), is currently dating.

Directed by Val O’Keefe and assisted by Chelsea Players' founding member Ken Lamothe, the play will run four times over the next two weeks.

The cast includes Veronica Strickland of Waterford; Sean Flaherty of Norwich; Nicole Wilcox of Hope Valley, R.I.; Michele Blair of Norwich; Juliana Drainville of Preston; and Harald Hefer of Pawcatuck.

“Women in Jeopardy,” United Congregational Church Hall, 87 Broadway, Norwich; opens Fri. and runs through Nov. 11; 3 p.m. Sun., and 8 p.m. Fri., Nov. 10 and 11; tickets $10 in advance, $12 at the door; (860) 887-7289 ,www.chelseaplayers.org.
