Think of Friday's Hoot for Hunger concert, taking place at Hygienic Art in New London, as the musical equivalent. All proceeds from the show benefit the New London Community Meal Center, and it's a pretty damned fine lineup of artists participating: Hugh Birdsall (6 p.m.); Tom Deedy (6:10 p.m.); Sherwood (6:20 p.m.); Lily Glynos (6:30 p.m.); Maggie's Guitar (6:40 p.m.); Baird Welch-Collins (6:50 p.m.); Golden Ratio (7 p.m.); Sophie Spaner (7:10 p.m.); Post Traumatic Jazz Disorder (7:20) p.m.; and Grand Finale (7:30) p.m.

This is as fine a place as possible to be of good cheer!
