    Exhibit examines works by Friedland

Otis Library will present an exhibit, "A Dedication to Craft: Harold Friedland, Master Fabric Printer," in the Millie and Martin Shapiro Community Room.

Friedland, a fabric screen printer active in Norwich from the mid-1940s to 1988, was known for his mastery of the screen printing process.

Friedland printed for some of the leading drapery and upholstery fabric companies of his time.

The exhibit also will consider the place of fabric printing in the city's long history of textile production.

This free exhibit will run through Nov. 29. Otis Library is at 261 Main St., Norwich. For more information, call (860) 889-2365, ext. 128.
