    Montville wrestlers win at Woodstock

    Woodstock - Montville High School won the Woodstock Academy Invitational wrestling tournament on Saturday, sending five wrestlers to the finals and coming away with a pair individual titles.

    Joel Morth defeated Ellis Tech's Baltazar Gonzalez 9-5 to win the 120-pound title and Zach Looney decisioned Christian Andrade of Somers 3-2 to win at 126 as the Indians finished with 178.5 points to win the 13-team field. Avon finished second with 154 points and Haddam-Killingworth placed third with 147 points.

    Noah Caskey (106), Tommy Wynosky (132) and Sam Kury (138) added runner-up finishes for Montville. Caskey lost to Avon's Anthony Tripodi 8-3, Wynosky defaulted his match to Jeffrey Suschana of Somers due to injury and Kury was pinned in 4 minutes, 50 seconds by Mackay Revis of Haddam-Killingworth.

    Austin Concascia (145) and Ian Concascia added third-place finishes for the Indians while Emanuel Diaz (182) finished fourth.

    Montville ends its regular season at St. Bernard/Norwich Tech on Wednesday night in an Eastern Connectiocut Conference Small Division match before taking part in the ECC tournament on Friday and Saturday at Windham.
