The United States has this really stupid and outdated constitutional provision that allows a child born in the United States to claim U.S. citizenship even when the parents are here illegally.

Change the Constitution to state that at least one parent must be a citizen. I bet you that many who might consider coming here illegally will have second thoughts when a child born here will not be able to claim citizenship.

I became a naturalized citizen by choice, but some of my siblings got their's the easy way - born here. I believe they should have gone through the process when they turned 18, passed the test and then sworn their allegiance to the United States.
