No doubt that building submarines is vital to Connecticut's economy, "Bills in Congress would mean fewer submarines," (March 25). There is also no doubt that the USA spends disproportionately on defense. What if we applied sequestration to the entire defense budget, so that the effects would be felt on the entire country? What if we then allocated funds in the same proportions to the same areas to be used for infrastructure, education, research, etc.?
