Tolerance is better late than never

    xxxxx

We can’t change history but we can correct it is my optimistic feeling after reading the Catherine Rampell commentary, “Free market forces now back tolerance,” (April 2). The market has beaten back Indiana’s sexual orientation discrimination invitation authorization denying service to unwelcome guests on religious grounds (whatever happened to the concept of a loving God?).

While 1950’s market forces may have tolerated discrimination, how wonderful to see that was so last century. We’ve evolved for the better even if Indiana’s Gov. Mike Pence is late to receive the word. A heavy heart to our millions of brothers and sisters who suffered last century born with the wrong sexual orientation. May they rest in peace.
