Norwich memories past; hope for the future

    Fix Norwich now!

Hamburgers, banana splits and yarn for Mama at Woolworths, burgers at Carols Restaurant, candy, comic books and newspapers at Fagans, Opals for Mama's birthday at Ogelnics, gifts at Elaines Gift shop, 25 cent cokes and 10 cent Hershey pops and 79 cent hamburgers at Beit Bros, shoes from Harry, penny candy and 99 cent chili dogs across from the Dime Savings Bank, sneakers from Gordons Shoes, movies at the Lord Cinema and Midtown, Saturdays at the YMCA.

These are my memories of years past in Downtown Norwich. There was always something to do for everyone. While we still have events in and around Norwich, I feel it could be greater, we need more people involved to meet that need.

The Reid & Hughes Building will be a catalyst for many more businesses being attracted by people living and buying downtown. Norwich doesn't need another parking space or grassy park with a fence around it for us to stare at and pay taxes for. We need people!

Please vote "yes" for the renovation of the Reid & Hughes Building.
