This letter is an official position of the New London Republican Town Committee. 

At its meeting of Oct. 4, the New London Republican Town Committee endorsed Andrew Lockwood's independent run for state representative in the 39th District. Andy did not seek the Republican nomination and elected to run for the office after the associated deadline. Please join us in supporting Andy Lockwood for the 39th. 

The winning candidate for the 39th District will be the only state representative solely focused on New London and, as such, it will be imperative for that candidate to be intimately familiar with New Londoners and their specific concerns. Andy will work hard to see that progress is made in securing a vibrant future for our families, while advocating for responsible budgeting and real economic growth. 

The NLRTC encourages all New Londoners who want an active, passionate and fiscally responsible voice in Hartford to vote for Andy on Nov. 8.
