    Theday.com readers forecast election results

The content of articles in The Day took their usual liberal position throughout the presidential campaign. The Day writers were whipped up in their own political spin cycle and had convinced themselves that Hillary Clinton was a lock.

Not so, however, those of us who read theday.com. The comments from the readers told the outcome. Reader comments are raw data, spin-cycle free. A count of the comments for nearly any political article indicated that the public was fed up with the Democrats. For every one comment in favor of the Democrats there were three, four and sometimes five against the Democrats and in favor of the Republicans.

So much for media pundits and political prognosticators. They were lost in the nonsense that they had created. The Day readers who commented on stories were the ones who really knew the score. Theday.com comment section is where I will look for political forecasts from now on.
