    Don't believe in manmade warming

David Collins’ column “Global warming is already lapping at Mystic’s door” (Nov. 27), gives us the usual BS concerning global warming.

The latest estimate claims the sea levels have risen at two millimeters a year over the past century. A myth persists that is both unscientific and immoral to perpetuate that the beneficial gas carbon dioxide ranks with hazardous pollutants. It does not.

The science of climate is only about 170 years old. The theory and practice of climate advocacy has been thoroughly, irretrievably corrupted by self-righteousness. It has allowed itself to become the agent of economic interests that can’t survive without pillaging middle-class taxpayers and energy users. It’s about time we dismantled this green gravy train powered by vanity that contributes nothing to the public welfare. The science of climate change is a veritable cornucopia of unanswered questions.

Why did the warming trend between 1978 and 1998 cease although computer climate models predicted steady warming? The release of thousands of emails from the University of East Anglia's climate research unit in 2009 showed climate scientists concerned with a lack of recent warming and how to hide the decline.

A batch of 5,000 emails written by top climate scientists came out in 2001 discussing, among other public-relations matters, how to deal with skeptical editors and how to suppress unfavorable data.

The liberal media never reported this scandalous news. Manmade global warming is nonsense.
