Police serve New London community on and off duty

The New London Police Union represents our members on wages, benefits and working conditions. We are also civic minded, giving up our personal time, effort and money to positively impact the community we serve. We are proud of our involvement and continued dedication to building bridges with the greater New London community every day of the year.

This is just a sample of our charitable work in 2017: annual food drive collecting 111 turkeys, 3,200 pounds of food and $325 for the United Way Food Bank, raising $2,100 for No Shave November on behalf of the American Cancer Society, $400 donated for Waterfront Halloween Town candy, purchased a brand new bike raffled off to a lucky child at Ocean Beach Police National Night Out, donated $600 in supermarket gift cards to Covenant Shelter families, raised $500 for Special Olympics Torch Run, raised over $18,000 to purchase three much needed police K9s.

Much of our success with these events were only made possible by the generous contributions by readers like you and we appreciate your support.

We wish you, your family and friends a very Merry Christmas. May this joyful season greet you with health, happiness and a prosperous New Year.
