Citizens' Climate Lobby provides source of hope

We need to find a way forward with the Citizens' Climate Lobby.

I am raising two young boys in southeastern Connecticut and I have been thinking a lot about their futures. With the social and political divisiveness in our nation, I find that it’s especially hard to feel good about the planet's future. We all know that nothing gets done when neither side is talking. Meanwhile, our planet has no intention of waiting for us to get our act together.

The planet is growing warmer faster. Not a day goes by that I don’t worry about its future.

Recently, however, I have found solace in the Citizens’ Climate Lobby. After learning about their mission and how they plan to tackle this immense problem, I became a member. So much about what they are working on makes sense; the policy they support is simple and effective, and perhaps most importantly, enjoys bipartisan support.

Now I’m part of an organization where I don’t have to choose a side; I get to work with others who wish to make the world a better place for our children. I look forward to working with Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy and Rep. Joe Courtney on this issue.
