It's simple: Be nice or be silent

A brand new year 2018, and a brand new beginning to do our best in all ways possible.

Sure we may screw up sometimes, but if we wake up each day and be thankful for starters that we woke up, that’s a big thing.

Next we think of our loved ones, whether they walk on two legs, four legs or if they fly in the sky, we give thanks for them also.

Another thing I give thanks for, though it sounds unusual, is mean-spirited people who verbally abuse me. Why? Because it’s a real lesson never to act like them. I know firsthand how their vicious words make me feel really bad. Ironic, I know, but it’s a reminder to be even nicer to others and to think first before I speak.

These people who verbally abuse others need to stand in front of a three-way mirror, and repeat their hurtful words.

I pray for these people anyway.

Happy New Year to everyone. And if you don’t have something nice to say, then remain silent.
