Creators of cruel border policies will live in infamy

Outrage ought to be palpable. Educators know developmental and psychological atrocities are occurring for hundreds of children with every passing minute. Spiritual leaders of every religion know the desperation and horror of God’s abandonment that the mothers, fathers and children are experiencing in the depths of their souls as the hours pass.

Political leaders need to reckon with the level of deception that is taking place, and that has already sown seeds of deep-seated resentment and hatred toward our government. And not only among those being directly victimized. The ludicrous justifications provided ought to make any reasonable person nauseous.

How bad could things be where these refugees and asylum-seekers come from? What could possibly force people to leave family and familiar lives with but a little hope for a better prospect? How bad would it have to be for you or me to do this? I humbly beg you to seriously contemplate this. There is nothing so valuable, so worthy in our American way of life that is precious enough that we pay for it with such depraved violence.

The architects and protectors of these terrorist tactics: Senior Policy Adviser Steven Miller, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and President Donald Trump − your names will live in infamy.
