Nolan is a flawed candidate, vote Mirna Martinez to represent New London

I'm a life-long Democrat and supported Chris Soto, but I'm not however going to blindly vote along party lines when my party’s candidate is highly flawed. Anthony Nolan’s performance on the City council has been mediocre. He's often inaccessible, unreliable, and seemingly uninterested in details of issues. He did a poor job as president of the council and was rude to opponents. Why should I believe he'll function differently in Hartford?

I'll vote for Mirna Martinez. She's a progressive who walks the talk. She's consistently responsive. She has a passion for educating herself about the issues on which she's working. She's willing to compromise but isn't easily swayed by prevailing political winds. She'll be a good voice for all citizens from children to seniors. She can devote herself fully to the job as our representative.

When I talk with Mirna about local issues that are important to me, she engages and responds. She asks questions, updates me on what I don’t know, and recognizes when she doesn’t know something. She's deeply involved in the community and cares more about getting things done than just showing up to events and shaking hands. Vote for Mirna Martinez.
