    Chelsea Groton Bank announces 6 promotions

    Groton - Six members of the team at Chelsea Groton Bank have won promotion, the financial institution announced this week, including the appointment of two assistant vice presidents.

    The promotions were approved by the bank's board of directors and went into effect Jan. 1.

    "We are pleased to recognize the dedicated efforts and talent that these employees have," said Michael Rauh, president and chief executive of Chelsea Groton Bank, in a statement. "These promotions serve to advance the leadership of the bank so that we can fulfill our vision of helping our customers achieve their goals."

    Among the promotions were Kelly Rediger and Rachel Carlson to assistant vice president posts.

    Rediger, loan servicing manager, began her work at Chelsea Groton as a teller. She also has served as a loan representative and administrative assistant, graduating from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management in 2010 and the Chamber Leadership Program in 2011.

    She won the Chelsea Award in 2013 and has volunteered on the Groton Scholarship Committee and the Ledyard Softball League.

    Carlson, retail lending operations administrator, has worked in a variety of positions at Chelsea, including new mortgage loan representative, residential mortgage coordinator and Internet application coordinator.

    A graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management and the Chamber Leadership Program, she was a Chelsea Award winner in 2014.

    Other Chelsea Groton promotions went to Nancy Murphy, business intelligence analyst, who is now assistant treasurer; Yana Kozleva, who added senior auditor to her previous duties of assistant treasurer; Richard Balestracci, previously a credit analyst who is now portfolio manager/commercial loan officer and assistant treasurer, and Giusy Beaman, promoted to a newly created post of branch operations manager and assistant secretary, focusing on operational efficiencies.
