    New London — Rachel Schroff had 11 kills, eight digs and five aces Saturday to lead the Connecticut College volleyball team to a 25-21, 25-20, 25-19 win over Wesleyan in the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

    Conn is 11-5 and 3-2 in the league.

    In other matches:

    • Coast Guard, ranked seventh in New England, ran its win streak to eight with a pair of victories over UMass-Dartmouth (25-16, 25-17, 25-25 ) and Wentworth (25-6, 25-17, 25-9). Junior Nicole Johnson led Coast Guard with 11 kills to go with nine digs in the win over UMass-Dartmouth while freshman Kelsey DePorto had six kills and a team-high six blocks. DePorto led the Bears with nine kills and seven blocks and Sam Marmolejo added five kills and a team-high 13 digs in the second match.

    • Daniel Webster and Southern Vermont defeated Mitchell, dropping the Mariners to 3-10. Akesia Bernard led Mitchell with five kills in the first match. Shayna Diggs and Stephanie McKeon combined for 23 kills in the second match for Mitchell.

    Men's soccer

    • Will Frohnhoefer snapped a 1-1 tie and delivered Mitchell College to a 2-1 victory over Daniel Webster College. James Gleason of Old Lyme also scored for the Mariners (5-4-1).

    • Connor Reilly scored 5:47 into overtime to lift Trinity to a 3-2 win over Conn College in a NESCAC game. Trevor Prophet had a goal and an assist and Oscar Brown also scored for Conn (3-4-1, 1-3-1).

    • Chris Tarbell made five saves in Coast Guard's 2-0 loss to Wheaton. The Bears are 5-5-1.

    Women's soccer

    • Sophomore Megan Turchi scored with 1:19 left in double overtime, lifting Wellesley to a 2-1 win over Coast Guard in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game. Coast Guard rallied late as freshman Cierra Collins found the back of the net with 12:03 left in regulation.

    • Kirsten Manville made two of her three saves in the second half to lead the Connecticut College women's soccer team to a scoreless draw with Trinity College. The Camels are 3-3-2.

    • Mitchell College scored a pair of goals in each half of a 4-0 victory over Daniel Webster College. Junior Nikki Hoxie scored two goals to lead Mitchell (5-5-0).

    Men's cross country

    • Sam Alexander, a former Waterford High School runner and now a junior at Central Connecticut State University, was 11th at the New England Championships held at Franklin Park in Boston. Alexander's time in the 8K race was 24:48. Central was third out of 47 schools.

    • Connecticut College finished 32nd at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Championship. Mike LeDuc (26:13) led the Camels in 101st place.

    • Freshman John Locke was the top Coast Guard finisher, placing 32nd overall leading the Bears to a seventh place finish among 26 teams at the Westfield State Invite. Locke ran the 8K course in 27:38.30.

    Women's cross country

    • Connecticut College finished 39th in the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Championship. Junior Lindsay Paiva finished in 20:21 to lead the Camels as the 192nd finisher.

    Field hockey

    • Connecticut College senior forward Abby Hine became the program's career leading scorer during Conn's 5-1 loss to Trinity. Hine scored the 91st and 92nd point of her career and has 36 goals and 20 assists for the program.
