New London transfer station to open Saturday for storm cleanup

New London — New London Transfer Station will be open on Saturday to assist residents still cleaning up from the storm on Wednesday.

Mayor Michael Passero said in a statement that he "recognizes the diligent efforts of City employees and the patience and assistance of the community in the efficient clean up after Wednesday’s destructive weather event."

The transfer station will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and again 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Residents may bring normal trash, brush, tree and yard materials to the Crystal Avenue facility. Residents should follow posted and regular procedures and if there are any questions, please ask the on-duty personnel.
