Norwich – The 14th annual Norwich Family Day celebration will be held Sept. 17 at Mohegan Park with free entertainment, food, safety demonstrations and information booths.

The event, hosted by Norwich Human Services, Recreation Department, Rose City Senior Center and Youth and Family Services, will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event starts with the Harry “O” Youth race, with registration beginning at 10:30 a.m. For more information regarding the race, contact the Norwich Recreation Department at (860) 823-3791.

Music also will be provided by Undefeated Entertainment. Other attractions include Curious Creatures with exotic animals, Tusia Photography, firetrucks, rescue vehicles, cookie decorating, family activities, face painting, yoga demonstrations and belly dancing and information booths with a wide variety of community resources.

All activities are free, including hot dogs, potato chips and water.
