East Lyme -- State Sen. Paul Formica, R-East Lyme, and state Rep. Holly Cheeseman, R-East Lyme, have endorsed John Kleinhans for re-election to the Board of Education.

"I am proud to endorse and support a great young leader for re-election to the East Lyme Board of Education," Formica said in a statement. "A leading voice in Connecticut politics and as a cutting edge business developer, John Kleinhans has the skills to help lead our Board of Education and continue East Lyme's great education history moving forward. East Lyme and Connecticut needs strong young leaders like John. I'm proud to vote for John on November 7th."

Cheeseman said in a statement that it has been her pleasure to know Kleinhans for many years:
