Norwich man turns himself in on crack cocaine charges

Norwich — A 34-year-old Norwich man turned himself in to police on an arrest warrant for four counts of selling crack cocaine, according to Norwich police.

Raymond Williams of 56 Nob Hill Road, Apt. C, was held on a $75,000 bond and arraigned in Norwich Superior Court on Friday, police said in a news release.

In 2015, narcotics detectives received information that Williams was selling crack cocaine in Norwich, police said. Later that year and into 2016, they conducted controlled purchases of crack cocaine from him.

Detectives were granted an arrest warrant but could not find Williams, who was living in Rhode Island at the time.

The Norwich Police Department on Dec. 28 wrote a post on Facebook asking for information on Williams' whereabouts; it was shared more than 90 times.
