New London — Charlie Boyle finished with 21 points and nine rebounds to lead the Emerson College women's basketball team to a 63-57 victory Tuesday night at Connecticut College.

Boyle was 10-for-13 from the field and had two assists and three steals. Maya Savino added 13 for Emerson (4-2).

Liz Malman had 19 points for Conn (6-2) and is just 23 points shy of 1,000 for her career. Payton Ouimette added 14 points and six rebounds and Mairead Hynes had seven points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Emerson outscored Conn 33-19 in the third quarter to build a 50-39 lead.

In other games:

• Kaitlyn LaBonte scored 16 points in Western Connecticut State University's 62-32 victory over Mitchell. Francesca Pinard led Mitchell (2-5) with 10 points and grabbed five rebounds. Mitchell shot just 26 percent as a team and committed 30 turnovers.

Women's hockey

• Holy Cross scored twice in the first period and topped Conn College 2-0. Bailey Mertz made 18 saves in goal for Conn (4-2). Holy Cross is 9-2.
