Wolman named Waterford rep to Tourism District

Waterford — First Selectman Daniel M. Steward announced Monday that he has appointed Robyn Wolman as the town’s representative to the Eastern Regional Tourism District.

Wolman, a resident for more than 20 years, is a realtor with William Raveis Real Estate, according to the release. She is experienced in marketing large events and expos, as well as the production and marketing of many fundraising activities, according to a press release from Steward.

Her current and past community involvement includes serving as a board member for Eugene O’Neill Theater, New London Homeless Hospitality Center, The Williams School and Solomon Schechter Academy.

“Robyn brings with her extensive knowledge of local tourism and hospitality, the arts, as well as the real estate market. All of this useful information when furthering the marketing efforts in our region and I am certain that she will be a great addition to the regional tourism district,” said Steward.

ERTD is publicly funded and made up of 42 towns in Eastern Connecticut, marketing the region as Mystic Country. The organization’s mission is to contribute, through tourism, to the economic prosperity of these towns.
