The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has released a draft forest resource management plan for the Nehantic State Forest, which covers 4,429 acres in East Lyme, Lyme, Old Lyme and Salem.

The management plan is for 2015 through 2024.

The draft plan and a survey are posted on the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's website. The survey will be available until May 1.

The plan and survey also are available on the websites for the towns of Lyme and Old Lyme.
