Chamber to host DECD commissioner in Mystic
Two of the state’s top economic development officials will appear Friday at a Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut event.
Catherine Smith, commissioner of the Department of Economic and Community Development, and Tim Sullivan, the department’s deputy commissioner, will be the featured speakers at a chamber business breakfast from 7:45 to 9 a.m. at Latitude 41 Restaurant at Mystic Seaport.
Smith will present an update on funding for startup companies and expansion projects in the region, while Sullivan will provide an overview of Connecticut’s latest tourism marketing efforts and budget.
