Backus offers free prostate cancer screenings

Norwich — The William W. Backus Hospital will offer free prostate cancer screenings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 17 in the hospital’s main lobby conference rooms at 326 Washington St.

Urologists will conduct a DRE prostate exam, and samples for a PSA blood test will be drawn. PSA results will be available in a week. Men who have not seen a urologist within the past year are eligible for this free screening.

Appointments are required. To register, call (860) 892-6900.
