WHO: Community members in need of support for bus transportation

AGENCY: St. Vincent de Paul Place

THE SITUATION: St. Vincent de Paul Place continues to see an increase in need for all of its programs. To help the greatest number of people, it is asking for assistance with bus tickets to help people seek employment or get to work, travel to doctor’s appointments, and pick up groceries, prescriptions and other basic needs. Getting around during the cold months is especially challenging for the elderly and people living on fixed incomes.

WHAT TO GIVE: Checks can be made payable to St. Vincent de Paul Place with “Make A Difference” in the memo. Any funds received will be used specifically to buy bus tickets. (A single bus ride is $1.75, a full-day pass costs $3.50, and a monthly pass costs $40).
