Music by the bay in Niantic

Lynn Ristau, left, of Quaker Hill, lets the Bomba brothers, of Bozrah, Nevin, 4, Kaydan, 8, and Xavier, 7, try her her button accordion on the Niantic Bay Boardwalk as the sun goes down Friday, March 11, 2016. The Bombas, along with a fourth brother, Josiah, 6, and their father Ken, were visiting the beach adjacent to the boardwalk to feed leftover sandwich crusts to the seagulls when they came across Ristau and her instrument. Ristau, who is retired from a landscaping job at UConn, has played various instruments in groups and bands for about 25-years but only picked up the accordion about two years ago. She says she likes to take it to nursing homes and play for the residents there. (Sean D. Elliot/The Day)
