Cheeseman completes fundraising for Connecticut Citizen’s Election Program

East Lyme — Selectman Holly Cheeseman announced in a news release Thursday that she has completed the fundraising program for the Connecticut Citizen’s Election Program.

According to the release, Cheeseman has 199 individual donors and has raised more than $5,000.

“I am honored to have tremendous grassroots support from the residents of East Lyme and Salem. Together, we will win this election in November and begin to bring common sense back to Hartford,” said Cheeseman in a statement. “Our state is in complete disarray and it is because of the Democrat-controlled legislature. East Lyme and Salem need a real champion for our towns to fight back against the Hartford machine.”

Cheeseman, a Republican, is running against Democratic Board of Finance member Beth Hogan for state representative for the 37th district.
