Forty-four teams with more than 300 players came to Ocean Beach Park June 5 for the annual Make-A-Wish Volleyball Tournament. More than 100 supporters flocked to the park to watch the tournament and support the event.

The event raised more than $18,000 for the foundation, which has been granting the wishes of children with serious medical conditions for 30 years. With the money raised from the tournament, the Connecticut chapter of Make-A-Wish will be able to grant a record-breaking 240 wishes this year.
