Stonington lighthouse hosts Salt Marsh Opera concert

"Broadway & Opera Favorites," produced and performed by Salt Marsh Opera, will be featured at the Music at The Lighthouse concert at 6 p.m. Sunday on the Old Lighthouse Museum lawn in Stonington Borough.

The concert, which benefits Salt Marsh Opera, is supported by Stonington Historical Society.

Soprano Rachele Schmiege and tenor Stefan Barner will perform solos and duets.

Tickets are $12 at the Lighthouse gate, free for children under 14.

Organizers encourage families to bring picnics, chairs and blankets to the grounds that open at 5 p.m. early and enjoy the site and its view of Fishers Island Sound.
