Construction on Society Road in East Lyme to take place Wednesday

East Lyme —The town's Public Works Department has scheduled a contractor to pave Society Road from Route 161 to Riverview Road starting about 7 a.m. Wednesday.

This will be a one-day operation and will depend on good weather, according to a town notice.

Traffic will be able to get through, but drivers should expect delays.

Drivers going to the Community Center and/or the Parks and Recreation summer programs can avoid the traffic by taking Industrial Park Road to the middle school access road.
