North Stonington — A hearing on the third proposed town budget will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Elementary School multi-purpose room.

The $18.8 million budget, approved Sept. 28, keeps total expenditures the same as the previous June proposal, while moving some money into highway maintenance and labor and removing the purchase of a diesel tractor.

This hearing, scheduled by the Board of Finance, will include a presention explaining the new budget.

The selectmen's meeting originally scheduled for the same time has been canceled.
