Foxwoods' slots revenue declined in January

Mashantucket — Foxwoods Resort Casino’s slot-machine revenue last month declined 2.6 percent. The casino reported Tuesday that it “won,” or kept, $34.8 million in slots wagers in January, down from the $35.7 million it kept the same month the previous year.

It marked the fourth straight month in which Foxwoods’ year-over-year slots revenue has declined.

Foxwoods’ “handle,” the total amount wagered at its slot machines, totaled $454.1 million in January, a 1.2 percent increase over the $448.7 million wagered in the same month last year.

The casino paid $9.1 million of its slots win to the state.

Mohegan Sun is expected to release its latest slots report Wednesday.
