Westerly -- The Westerly Land Trust will kick off its 30th anniversary on Sunday, April 30, at 1 p.m. with the unveiling of a new sign that recognized its 30th property - the Sunnyacres Preserve at 133 South Woody Hill Road as protected open space land.

Those who attend can take part in a group drone photo on the preserve’s hayfield, by forming a large number 30.

Sunnyacres Preserve is a 18.5-acre parcel of land donated by Ellen Madison. The property is part of the historic Saunders Farm and homestead called Sunnyacres, which had been owned and worked by Madison’s family since 1857.
