Salem Volunteer Fire Company names 2017-18 officers

The Salem Volunteer Fire Company named its 2017-18 officers at its annual meeting this month.

Richard Martin and Charles "Chip" Weston return as chief and deputy chief, respectively. Ryan Teixeira will serve as assistant chief, and Alex Blais will serve as captain. Deborah Cadwell returns as the EMS captain, and Warren Wright returns as the fire police captain. Eugene Maiorano will serve as safety officer and appropriated treasurer.

Kyle Burk, Jeff Martin, Robert Pokrinchak and James Rybak were elected lieutenants of equipment. Lisa Martin will serve as secretary, and Marcella Maiorano is the non-appropriated treasurer.

Salem Volunteer Fire Company continues to seek volunteers, with a junior program open for interested young adults between the ages of 13 and 17. For more information, call (860) 859-0942 or visit the firehouse at 424 Hartford Road.
