All aboard the water taxi

A Times reader, Jane Loeser Clukay, snapped this photo as she went down to buy her season pass for the Thames River water taxi. She reports being the 167th season pass buyer. The water taxi leaves every 40 minutes from the Fort Griswold pier before heading to Fort Trumbull and then City Pier in New London. Hours are 10:40 a.m. to 7:40 p.m. Fridays through Sundays through Sept. 18. The season pass is $50, with individual trips costing $10 for adults, $5 for children and active military, and free for kids 3 and under.
