    New London to present downtown parking, traffic study

    New London — The engineering and planning firm Milone & MacBroom will present findings and proposed improvements to downtown New London traffic circulation and parking during a public meeting on Monday.

    The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the lecture hall at Science and Technology Magnet High School of Southeastern Connecticut located at 490 Jefferson Ave.

    The purpose of the report is to: Assess current and future needs of motorists and non-motorists in downtown New London; plan for future needs surrounding new development, including the National Coast Guard Museum, the Cross Sound Ferry Terminal expansion, the Greyhound Bus Terminal relocation, and other redevelopment initiatives, and identify improvements that are focused on safety and supportive of the economic development of downtown New London as a unique and important place to live, work and visit.
