Mystic -- The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce has announced two ribbon cuttings for new businesses this month.

On Thursday at 6 p.m., there will be a ribbon cutting at Main Street Soap Emporium, 22 E. Main St. The store features handcrafted bath and body products, and the full skin care line from the Newport, R.I., company Shore Soap Co.

The shop also offers a variety of products including dog shampoo, sea salt spray for the hair, towels and a “make your own gift basket” option. The shop is open Wednesdays through Sundays and can be reached at (860) 389-0155.

On July 29 at 11:30 a.m., Northeastern Veterinary Care Center will celebrate new ownership and a complete renovation of its veterinarian offices at 144 Whitehall Ave.
