State police seek driver of car that crashed in Preston
Preston — State police are seeking the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a sign post and a utility pole on Route 12 near Route 2A on Friday.
State police in Montville said the Isuzu Trooper was traveling on Route 12 toward Norwich, when it went off the right shoulder and struck a sign post, and then struck a CL&P utility pole before coming to a stop with disabling damage.
The driver is described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet, 7 or 8 inches tall and wearing a red T-shirt and shorts. He fled the scene in a dark blue early 2000s Toyota Corolla heading toward Norwich.
